Used to leading everyone?
So who's in your corner?
Executive coaching for managers in software companies. For the moments when a big decision calls for a sounding board before you take the next step.
Certified coach CPCC · ACC through CTI (California) and ICF · T-group facilitator in the Stanford (GSB) model
You have everything you need to make the call. And yet.
When you're used to leading, you're used to knowing. But there are moments when the cost of getting it wrong looks high. The consequences, for us and for the people around us, are significant, and the choice still isn't clear. It's hard to call it alone, and what's right for someone else isn't necessarily right for you.
What you'll take
What you'll walk away with
-
01
Focus
Tell the background noise apart from what actually matters to you.
-
02
From thinking to doing
Deliberate, but only so much. Start moving, and let the doing teach you.
-
03
Inner quiet
Meet what's hard honestly and head-on, and come out of it more whole.
The process
How it works
-
01
Intro call
About half an hour, no strings. We get to know each other and align expectations before we go any further.
-
02
Six sessions
An hour a week, on Zoom or in person.
-
03
What's next
After the sixth session we pause and take stock of where we are: whether we continue and in what form, or wrap up.
Who it's for
Is this for you?
A fit if you
- Are facing dilemmas in leadership or in a partnership
- Have a major decision to make
- Are heading into a significant change, or already in the middle of one
- Feel that something isn't sitting right, and can't quite name it
- Are looking for an outside space that's safe and professional
Less of a fit if you
- Are looking for consulting. Someone to hand you the answer or tell you what to do
- Want to work only at the level of doing. Coaching also touches emotion and mindset
- Can't commit to a weekly session right now
The method
I bring the questions. You bring the answers.
Co-Active
The approach starts from the premise that there's nothing about you that needs fixing. My job is to walk alongside you, reflect, challenge and believe, and to hold a space for curiosity and change.
What happens between people
I also facilitate group coaching sessions inspired by Stanford's T-group model. A group of people who don't know each other, learning about themselves through what happens between them in real time: how they affect others, how they're perceived, their part in the dynamic that forms and how to change it.
About Dan
My story
I started as a developer, then moved into product management at startups and large companies. I founded my own company with an American partner around a testing tool for developers, the same tool whose product division I had managed at Broadcom. In 2023 we sold the company to Perforce, and I stayed on as VP to see the integration through for a year.
I began coaching in the Co-Active method in California in 2019, alongside my day job. I completed the certification while we were building the company, and kept coaching throughout my time as CEO. The method profoundly shaped how we built the company and its internal dynamics.
Today I work with managers in software companies, and facilitate coaching groups inspired by Stanford's T-group model.
My values
What guides me
-
Presence in the moment
What's happening in the room in real time. Where the conversation stalls, what shifts in the body and the face when a particular sentence is said.
-
Willingness to challenge
Not just to listen. Also to ask the uncomfortable question, and see where it takes us.
-
Emotion
You can control how much emotion shows on the outside, but not the emotion itself. Together we notice what comes up, in the hard situations and right there in the session. That's where movement becomes possible.
